About Projects

Modified on Thu, Aug 29 at 12:19 PM

Projects are often composed of different work orders and scheduled maintenances and are great tools for organization and defining a clear goal or purpose.

This article describes how to navigate and use the different project menus.

For more help creating projects, see Creating a Project.

Project Overview

You can access the project menus by selecting Projects from the left sidebar. Once you select the ID of the project you would like to view, you will be automatically directed to the project overview menu - you can tell which menu you are viewing by looking at the top, where it says "Project," "Timeline," or "Dashboard." Below is a photo of what the project menu will look like.

Details & The Project Form Fields at a Glance

The very top menu is an easy way to quickly glance at the most important details of your project and can be edited if needed by selecting the Edit button at the right. It includes most of the project's form fields, such as its:

Added Work Orders Menu

Here you can view attached work orders. You can also directly edit the work orders actual start and end date as well as its progress by typing the information into the boxes.

This menu is important as it can display the progress of the work order, which will impact the information on your project dashboard.

To add or remove work orders to your project, scroll up to the top menu and select either + Add Work Orders or Remove Work Orders.

Timeline Menu

You can view your project's full timeline by selecting Timeline at the top. Below is an example timeline.

Simply scroll over the timeline section on the right to continue viewing the progression of your work orders.

Dashboard Menu

You can view your project's dashboard by selecting Dashboard at the top. Below is an example.

The dashboard is the easiest way to quickly glance at how far into completion your project is based on the completion of the individual work orders, which can be edited directly through the work order menu.
