Adding Break-In Work to Formal Work Order Planning

Formal planning can be very helpful in streamlining the work order workflow. 


Break-in work orders are added, unscheduled work orders that are inserted into a plan after it has already been scheduled and locked. They may be necessary due to emergencies, unforeseen circumstances/events, asset downtime, or more. This article should describe how to add them into your plan.

Adding Break-In Work Orders to a Formal Plan

  1. To access the planning module, from the left sidebar, select Maintenance, then Work Orders, then Planning.
  2. Select the ID of the plan you'd like to add to.
  3. The plan should open under the planning tab. From the ribbon menu, select Break-In Work.
  4. From the pop up box, select the checkbox(es) of the work order(s) you'd like to add.
  5. Select + Add to add the work orders to your Plan.
