Preventive Maintenance Library Procedures

Modified on Wed, Dec 11 at 2:52 PM

SOMAX has the ability for Enterprise Customers to create a Preventive Maintenance Library. The goal for this library is to provide approved standardized methods of Preventive Maintenance across all the Customers plants.

The Library acts as a centralized repository of detailed procedures and information for regularly scheduled maintenance tasks. This allows maintenance to consistently perform standardized checks, calibrations and other types of tasks on Assets. Thus, preventing unexpected breakdowns, minimizing downtime, and extending the lifespan of assets.

The Preventive Maintenance Library procedure consist of a Header and Task associated with the Header. Schedule records are not created at the Library level as different plants often operate on different schedules. This allows individual sites to add schedule records optimized for their location.

  • Standardized procedures:

Provides a consistent approach to maintenance across all plants, ensuring quality and reducing variations in how tasks are performed.

  • Compliance with regulations:

Ensures the Maintenance Department complies with regulatory standards for required inspections and procedures.

  • Work instructions:

Standardization of Approved Step-by-step guides for performing specific maintenance tasks, including necessary tools, safety precautions, and troubleshooting steps.
