Scheduling Work Orders - Resource List Tab Using Formal Planning

Formal planning can be very helpful in streamlining the work order workflow. This article describes how to update the schedule for work orders or update the work order hours in your plan.

NOTE: You cannot change the personnel that the work order is assigned to within the resource list tab. To change personnel, you must schedule work orders in the planning tab.


Scheduling Work Orders Using Formal Planning

  1. To access the planning module, select Maintenance, then Work Orders, then Planning.
  2. Select the ID of the plan you'd like to schedule. If you cannot find the plan, use the filters to broaden or refine your search.
  3. The planning tab should open automatically. At the top menu, select Resource List.


Work Orders Not Assigned - Add Schedule 

  1. To Add an Assigned User and  Scheduled date, select the Available Work button. A Pop-up will appear for you to select Work Order(s) you desire. 
  2. Select the Checkbox to the Left of the Work Order Number and Click Add
  3. Select the desired User(s) and Schedule Date (this will assign any selected work orders to these values)
  4. Click Save to Save your changes.




Work Orders Assigned - Update Schedule Date or Hours

  1. To update the scheduled date, select the scheduled column. A calendar will appear for you to select the date you would like the work to be done on. 
  2. To update the hours, directly type in how many hours you expect the work order to take to be completed then click outside of the entry. The entry has been updated when the green circle with the check appears.
