Adding Parts

There are two ways to add parts; the first:


  1. Click Add New Parts 

  1. Enter the Part ID 

  2. Enter the Description

  3. Select an Issue Unit for the dropdown list

  1. Enter the Location by clicking Location on the left side and filling out the details

  2. Enter the On Hand quantity and the Cost by clicking Quantities / Cost on the left side; you can also add a minimum number of parts you need, and when it reaches the minimum quantity, SOMAX will automatically send a purchase request to increase the number of parts so that it reaches the maximum quantity, which you can also fill it

  3. These are not required fields to add a part

  4. Click Save

 


The second method:

 

  1. Click Inventory | Parts 

  2. Click New Part 

  3. Enter the Part ID 

  4. Enter the Description

  5. Select an Issue Unit for the dropdown list

The Issue Unit Lookup List can be edited by your Administrator, see Editing Lookup List.

  1. Enter the Location by clicking Location on the left side and filling out the details

  2. Enter the On Hand quantity and the Cost by clicking Quantities / Cost on the left side; you can also add a minimum number of parts you need, and when it reaches the minimum quantity, SOMAX will automatically send a purchase request to increase the number of parts so that it reaches the maximum quantity, which you can also fill it

  3. These are not required fields to add a part

  4. Click Save
