Adding Assets to a Part

SOMAX will build the Part/Asset cross-reference through the work order process but you can manually add assets to a part detail page.

    1.  Click Inventory | Parts 

    2.  Select a Part from the Parts Search page

    3.  Click Assets

4.  Click New Asset if there are no other assets listed for this part; if there are, click plus

    5.  Click the magnifying glass to search for the assets 

    6.  Enter the Quantity Needed

    7.  Enter the Quantity Used

    8.  Add Comments (if needed)

    9.  Click Save
