Adding Assets

There are two ways for adding assets. The first way is as follows :

1. In the top right hand corner, click Add New. A drop down menu will appear. 

2. In the drop down menu, click Assets

3. Enter the Asset ID 

4. Enter the Name

5. Select a Category from the Category drop down list

    The asset Type Lookup List can be edited by an Administrator, see Editing Lookup Lists

6. Click Add

7. Click Save to save your changes

8. If you would like to add Warranty Information, see Adding Asset Warranty Information

NOTE : SOMAX will display the Asset Details Page and additional detail information may be added.

The second way is as follows:

1. Click Maintenance. A drop down list will appear. 

2. In the drop down menu, click Assets

3. Click New Asset 

4. Enter the Asset ID 
   

5. Enter the Name

6. Select a Category from the Category drop down list

    The Asset Type Lookup List can be edited by an Administrator, see Editing Lookup Lists

7. Click Add

8. Click Save to save your changes

9. If you would like to add Warranty Information, see Adding Asset Warranty Information

SOMAX will display the Asset Details Page and additional detail information may be added.
