How do I Mass reassign work orders

Modified on Tue, Oct 1 at 11:11 AM

There are times when you may want to Re-Assign work orders from one user to another for example when that person can not make it in on a down day or the person needs to be Inactivated.

Note: To Mass Complete or Cancel work orders see: Mass Complete or Cancel Work Orders

There are two ways to accomplish this task and both will be explained below. Since both methods arrive at the same end result use whichever method works best for you. The order below has no bearing on which is better.

Method 1 - Work Order Search grid

Selecting the users work orders

In this method we will start from the Work Order Search page. From the Left Menu select Maintenance->Work Order->Search and the Work Order search page will be displayed.

  1. From the Search page Select the View Icon
  2. From the Views choose Select Assigned Users
  3. From the Dropdown List select the User assigned to the work orders then Click Ok

Selecting only the Scheduled work orders

Now that we have all the work orders assigned to the User we are going to Filter the work orders to show just the Schedule work orders.

  1. Click on the Filter Icon
  2. Select the Status "Scheduled" from the Dropdown List
  3. Click Apply

Re-Assign the work orders

Now that we have all the scheduled work orders assigned to the User we are going re-assign the work orders to another user.

  1. Select the checkbox to the Left of the work order number for all of the work orders you wish to re-assign
  2. Click on the Schedule Icon and select Add Schedule
  3. Select the new user to Assign from the Dropdown list, select the Schedule Date and Click Save

The Work Orders have now been Re-Assigned and the re-assigned work orders will not be displayed on the work order search page as they no longer fit the current search criteria.
