Punchout Creating a Purchase Request

SOMAX Punchout is available to those clients that have the SOMAX Procurement Module. SOMAX Punchout allows you to create Purchase Request and Punchout to the Vendors Website to retrieve part prices and return the parts and prices to the SOMAX Purchase Request to create Line Items.

Note: Please contact your Vendor for the appropriate Training Material for Navigating on your Vendors Website, choosing parts or creating quotes. 

After getting SOMAX to enable your site for Punchout and setting up your Vendor for Punchout you can create Punchout Purchase Requests.

1. Select Create Purchase Request
2. Choose Yes on the Message Do you Want to Create a Punchout Purchase
3. Select the Vendor from the list
   1. This list will be only those Vendors who have Punchout Configured
4. Select Punch Out to Add Line Items to your Purchase Request
5. This will take you to the Vendors Website that you entered during the Vendor Punchout Configuration
6. Select the Items from the Vendors Website for your Purchase Request
7. Return your Items to SOMAX and the SOMAX Shopping Cart will be displayed

8. Once you are on the SOMAX Shopping Cart you can confirm the Stock Parts that Auto       Matched

9. Manually Match a Stock Part

a. Select the Search Icon to search your Stock Parts

b. Select the Stock Part for Matching

c. The Stock Part is Matched (the next time you purchase this part from this Vendor the Part will be Auto Matched)

10. Non Stock Part Selection

a. Select the Charge Type 

b. Select the Search Icon to find the appropriate Charge To

c. Select the Charge To

d. Charge To is returned to the Shopping Cart

You have now added all of the information on the SOMAX Shopping cart for your line items and can now return to the SOMAX Purchase Request. Select the Confirm button as shown below.

You are returned to the SOMAX Purchase Request. You can now process the Purchase Request like any other Purchase Request. If you need to add additional parts before approving the Purchase Request you can just Click the Punch Out button to punchout to the Vendors Website again.
