Password Settings

This article describes how to update your password settings, such as its maximum or minimum length and any other requirements.

Password Settings

From the left menu, select Configuration.
From the left menu again, select Company
From the left menu again, select Password Settings. Below is what your screen should look like:

The chart below should describe what each form fields means:

Field	Definition
Maximum Failed Login Attempts	Number of times you can enter incorrect Login information before your account is locked
Require Minimum Length	Is Minimum Length required for Password
Minimum Length of Password	Minimum number of Characters if Required Minimum Length is Checked
Require Password Expiration	Is Password Expiration Required
Password Age Limit (Days	Age of Password in Days allowed if Require Password Expiration is Checked Ex. 90 would mean a User must reset password every 90 Days
Password Requires a Number	Does Password Require a Number
Password Requires an Alpha Character	Does Password Require a Alpha (letter)
Password Requires Mixed Cased	Does Password Required both Alpha in UPPER and lower case
Password Requires Special Character	Does Password Require a Special Character Ex. ! @ #
Sequential Repeated characters not allowed in password	Password cannot contain Characters in Repeated fashion Ex. AAA bbb CCC 111 222 333
Password cannot equal username	Password can not be the same as the UserName
Allow Administrator to manually reset passwords	Administrator can Manually Reset a users Password
