It is important to update meter readings regularly to ensure accurate records and so that, if you have any preventive maintenance jobs attached to the meters, they will also trigger work orders.
This article describes how to record a new reading.
Recording a New Meter Reading
- From the left sidebar, select Maintenance, then Preventive Maintenance, and then Meter.
- Select the ID of the meter you would like to record.
- Select Action and then Record Reading.
- Enter the Reading and make sure the date of the reading is correct - it should automatically be set to the present.
- Select Record. The work order processed message seen below will only show if your new meter reading is equal to or exceeds the specified interval for the PM. See Auto Generating Work Orders from PMs for more help.
NOTE: Once a meter has reached a Preventive Maintenance threshold a work order will be automatically generated for that threshold.
