Inactivating an Asset

Modified on Mon, Sep 23 at 12:18 PM

It may be helpful to inactivate an asset that is not in use anymore. Inactivated assets will not appear in the Asset Tree Lookup or Asset Search when adding work orders, requests, etc. You will not be able to inactivate an asset that is a parent of other assets or has an open work order, purchase request, purchase order or is assigned to a Preventive Maintenance schedule record.

Inactivating an Asset

  1. From the left sidebar, select Maintenance and then Assets.
  2. Select the ID of the asset you would like to inactivate.
  3. From the top right, select Action and then Inactivate.
  4. Confirm inactivation.
