The Work Order Type for a Work Order created from Preventive Maintenance Work Order Generation is not editable. The Work Order Type is set by the Preventive Maintenance Schedule Record which is considered the Master Record
The Work Order Type on a Work Order Generated by PM Generation is not editable as shown below.
The Work Order Order Type is set in the Preventive Maintenance Schedule Record as shown below. To Change the Type select the desired Preventive Maintenance Schedule record and then select the desired type and then save the record. The next time PM Generation is run the Work Order will have the newly selected Work Order Type.

The Preventive Maintenance Schedule Record Type lookup list is controlled by the Preventive Maintenance Work Types Lookup List. From Configuration Select Lookup List then from the dropdown select Preventive Maintenance Work Types as shown below. From this list you can edit the Description, Add New or Delete entries.
