About Sanitation

Sanitation is an integral part of any Food and Beverage business.  SOMAX has embraced this by providing a single integrated solution for Maintenance and Sanitation.  The collaboration between your Maintenance and Sanitation Departments can help increase productivity by lowering equipment downtime and improving product quality.  Another value of SOMAX Sanitation is the ability to create standards that can be applied to similar equipment types making it easier to maintain your Master Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (MSSOP).  Role-Based Workbenches streamline the normal daily processes with easy to use interfaces to Approve, Complete and Verify Sanitation Jobs. Verification of Sanitation Jobs closes the workflow loop for QA Managers ensuring that your Sanitation Department is following procedures outlined by Management.

Sanitation & Maintenance

The collaboration between sanitation and maintenance is high, with sanitation having the ability to submit work requests to correct equipment issues and maintenance having the ability to submit sanitation requests to address food safety concerns. By working together both departments ensure your organization's ability to maintain clean, safe, and efficient production facilities.

For more help with sanitation requests, see Adding a Sanitation Request.

Generating Jobs with Master Sanitation Schedules

You can use master sanitation schedules to automatically generate sanitation jobs through SOMAX. The auto generation is based on the needed frequency of sanitation jobs, which is set up when creating the schedule, and counts in days or through on demand groups.

For more help with this process, see Creating Master Sanitation Schedule and Auto Generating Sanitation Jobs.
