Getting Familiar with the Dashboard

Modified on Tue, Aug 20 at 9:46 AM

The SOMAX dashboard is one of the best ways to quickly look at your asset, work order, PM, and parts' data.

This article shows you how to navigate the dashboard - below is what one may look like.

Customizing your Dashboard

At the very top is a dropdown menu to view different dashboards. For example, you may be on the maintenance dashboard and want to view the sanitation or the maintenance technician dashboard. That dropdown menu is the way to switch between the multiple ones.

You can also edit which widgets you would like to see. Widgets are smaller cards displaying specific information through different graphs - we will cover them in later sections. The settings/wheel icon next to the dropdown menu from earlier is how you can edit which widgets you would like to view. Once you click on it you can use the checkboxes to select or deselect the different graphs, as shown below:

Current Stats: The Top Bar

You can find quick, current statistics and counts of different modules in the SOMAX system. The widgets (or cards) that display these numbers also act as links to the search pages of the different modules. For example, if you clicked 118 or Open Work Orders, you would be taken directly to the open work order search page.

Data & Trends: Widgets

Below the top bar is where you can find different widgets displaying different information and trends. Remember that you are able to customize which widgets are shown. You may also customize the widgets by selecting the date range you would like to view the trends through - whether it be in the past week, month, or 90 days.

Widgets are popular throughout the SOMAX system, especially in the overview pages of individual assets, work orders, and more.
